Research... Positive methods?
Exploration places:
- Pondok Pinang
- Slipi
- Sunda Kelapa
- West Jakarta, ancol
- around Pondok Indah……
I’ve also learned that Jakarta is like a microeconomic business city whereby people in Jakarta are always hardworking and very dedicated. They have different kinds of alternatives in earning money. So, instead of Jakarta is a city of misery and dispair, it is a city of HOPES AND DREAMS.
Researched on how the Urban Poverty could be easily effected to climate change.
1) How to stop?
- In Jakarta we are involved in a multitude of actions ranging from LOW-CARBON ENERGY FOR TRANSPORTATION, CAR EMISSION REDUCTIONS, ELECTRICITY SAVING FLOOD CONTROL PROGRAMS AND WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM. (and reducing green house gas emission)
Purpose; TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE
2) Why?
- Strong and sustained growth in Jakarta’s population and economy have resulted in a vast increase in the urbanized area, and concomitant land use change.
- Jakarta’s rapid growth and urbanization have given rise to large-scale infrastructure problems that are mostly well documented and understood by the DKI GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC.
3) What happened?
It will affect infrastructures including water systems, housing and settlements, transport networks, utilities, and industry. In recent years the recurrence of natural disasters has increased the vulnerability of the urban poor who are considered to be most affected by climate change and climate variability. The prevalence of diseases will increase their vulnerability and constrain economic activities.

In winter Buildings need to be heated & will radiate some of this heat. In summer they will heat up quicker than surrounding countryside. This all causes convection which in the right conditions generates clouds. Stronger convection also means more mixing of lower levels of the air with air at higher levels which tends to increase wind strength in the surrounding areas.
*notes
-brief
The most exposed are the poor who live in urban areas, because they live in the most marginalized parts of every city” - emphasized David Cadman, President of ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability.
My summary:
Stop climate change by….
1) Keeping it clean
2) By recycling
3) By using natural detergent.
(I’d rather use easier methods)
—— I feel that the urban poor is so used to living in the villages, it’s good because they are so thankful that they are not used to living in high-flats.
